US President is Likely to Visit Europe to Mark Anniversary of Ukraine War

WASHINGTON: Two US senior officials have said that US President Joe Biden is contemplating making a visit to Europe around the one-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine next month.

CNN reported that the visit is not yet confirmed, and details of the trip have yet to be finalized. But one of the officials stated that one stop under consideration is Poland.

Biden to visit Europe

Reports said that President Biden’s team has been planning to mark the war, including potentially a major address. Biden and his team hope to highlight the resilience of the people of Ukraine, noting that when the war began, the majority assumed Kyiv would fall within a few days.

Earlier, NBC reported that a visit to Europe was under discussion.

US Vice President Kamala Harris is also likely to visit Europe next month to participate in the Munich Security Conference, where the conflict in Ukraine will be the key subject of discussion among world leaders.
