US President Extends Moral, Diplomatic Support to Ukraine

US President, in his address to the 78th meeting of the UN General Assembly, said he will not choose the side of a dictator like Putin. His address was full of sentiments and he showed great solidarity with the Ukrainian President and people of the country.

In his address to the UN Assembly on Tuesday, he brought the attention of World leaders to the attack on Ukraine by Russia. His address was full of sentiments. “No nation can meet the challenges of today alone, so how can we let Ukraine alone, We Cannot let Ukraine and the Ukrainian people alone, We Support the Ukrainian President and we stand side by side with him.”

He called the Russian attack on Ukraine illegal and said that he cannot support and stand with a dictator like Putin. During his address to the UN General Assembly, he stressed international cooperation, partnerships and alliances. We know our future is bound to yours, said US President Joe Biden. It was a sentiment he carried over into his message on Ukraine as Russia’s invasion of the country stretches past a year and a half.

The main theme of the speech was the Ukraine issue and he insisted the world leaders to think about it seriously and then take positive steps based on practicality to resolve it.

US president Joe Biden also said they support and like democracy not only in the US but also in the entire world as well. He talked about supporting democracy. This time, Joe Biden took the name of former American President Donald Trump and that the Republicans wanted to destroy America and democracy. I will always defend and fight for democracy that is why I am fighting for democracy and for the great America. Our people have made a lot of sacrifices for the sake of democracy, he added.

US president on climate crisis

Joe Biden urged the countries to come together on the climate challenges and support infrastructure and development in low- and middle-income countries. Biden said that if the countries come together and think about the climate crisis and support the countries, overwhelming challenges can be resolved and deep wounds can heal. He pointed to the recent extreme weather around the globe so as to push for urgency on the climate issue.

No tussle with China but competition

In his speech, the US President made it very clear that the country has not tussle with China and United States always believe in competition. He did not directly criticize China, rather preferred diplomatic language.

At the same forum, Ukrainian President Zalensky said that Russia invaded his country. He brought the attention of the international players to resolve the ongoing issue with Russia.

Several top world leaders skipped the meeting this year, including President Vladimir Putin of Russia, which is a villain for invading Ukraine and he, till date, did not lament the Russian attack on Ukraine. Similarly, UK, France top leaders did not attend the meeting of the UN General Assembly, but sent their foreign ministers.
