The White House said Joe Biden reiterated Washington’s concerns regarding the step to roll back the judiciary’s lining from the political system. The White House said that Biden offered support for efforts to forge a compromise on judicial reforms consistent with those main principles.
However, Netanyahu told the US President that his country will “remain, a vibrant and strong democracy. He added that judicial changes would be made responsibly while also protecting the basic rights of all citizens.
However, critics said that it will overturn the country’s system of checks and balances and slide Israel toward authoritarianism.
