WASHINGTON: A White House spokesperson has said the US government is not planning to put military on the ground in Israel, Western media reported on Monday.
White House national security council spokesperson John Kirby, however, said that US will continue to protect its interests in the region.
He said though Iran supports Hamas but Biden administration has not seen any evidence that Iran is directly involved in recent escalation.
US to fulfil Israeli demands as early as possible: Kirby
Kirby told reporters the White House was expecting additional security requests from Israel and would fulfil those demands as early as possible.
On Saturday Hamas resistance fighters stormed Israel with barrage of rocket fire. Since then, the situation is tense in the beleaguered region.
The Palestinian health ministry reported that 560 people have been martyred, and another 2,900 have been injured since the launch of Israeli airstrikes.

Humanitarian organizations operating in Gaza are facing substantial challenges in delivering aid and medical assistance due to the intensifying conflict.
Amid the crisis, Israel announced on Saturday night its decision to cut electricity supply to the besieged territory. Gaza, home to approximately two million people, has been enduring an Israeli blockade encompassing air, land, and sea routes.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday also expressed his deep concern by an announcement of Israeli minister regarding complete siege of the Gaza Strip.
