WASHINGTON: US forces conducted two separate strikes in Syria, killing 37 militants including members of the Islamic State group and Hurras al-Din group, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Sunday.
According to CENTCOM, a strike on September 24 in northwest Syria resulted in the deaths of nine militants. Another strike on September 16 in central Syria targeted an ISIS training camp, killing at least 28 persons.
General Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of CENTCOM, stated that these strikes reflect the US commitment to defeating terrorist organizations in the region and enhancing stability.
