LOS ANGLES: Media tycoon and former Fox News chairman Rupert Murdoch has got engaged at the age of 92 years to his Russian microbiologist girlfriend Elena Zhukova.
He will soon marry 67-year-old Zukhova at a ceremony in California.
Elena Zhukova was earlier married to Russian oil tycoon Alexander Zhukov. By profession she is a biologist.
The engagement of Rupert Murdoch was also attended by his sons. Murdoch was married to Patricia Booker, a flight attendant, Anna Murdoch, journalist and a businesswoman Wendi Deng, who introduced him to Zhukova.
Murdoch also married to former model Jerry Hall in in 2016. They were officially got divorced in August 2022.
Rupert Murdoch was born in Australia in 1931 and started his career in the 1950s. He acquired the UK’s News of the World and The Sun newspapers in n 1969.
Later, he bought US newspapers, including New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. He founded Fox News in 1996, which is currently the US’s most viewed TV channel.
Murdoch is still the owner of hundreds of local, national, and international media houses. Rupert Murdoch according to Bloomberg is among the 300 richest people in the world.
