GEORGIA: The US and Israeli military have concluded a week-long cyber drill aimed at preparing for “real-world scenarios” with a focus on the Middle East, reported The Times of Israel.
The exercise simulated several real-world scenarios and was aimed to improve the preparedness of the IDF and United States Cyber Command against growing threats. Elements from the IDF’s Intelligence Directorate (J2) were part of the exercise.

US-Israel cooperation in cyber arena
The exercise is a continuation of the IDF JCDD’s close collaboration with USCYBERCOM and showcases the growing partnership between United States-Israel in the digital domain, which is reflected in joint and intensive operational activity in various arenas.

The drills were the seventh such joint exercise between them.
Iran had accused Israel and the United States of using digital weapons against it. Reportedly, an alleged Israeli digital attack caused a large blaze at a major Iranian steel plant in June. Although, an anonymous group claimed the attack, but Israeli TV published the footage of the incident, hinting that Military Intelligence was behind the attack.
