WASHINGTON: An American military official has revealed that US forces have faced at least 130 attacks in Syria and Iraq combined since October 17 of the previous year, with 53 attacks reported in Iraq and 77 in Syria.

The statement comes amid ongoing resistance by groups such as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, which has targeted the US bases in both Iraq and Syria since October 17. This resistance emphasizes its commitment to opposing the presence of American forces in the region. The resistance condemned Zionist atrocities against Gaza.

In a recent development, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for a missile attack on the American occupation base in the Koniko field, situated deep within Syria. This attack, like previous ones, underscores the group’s strategy of resisting American occupation forces and responding to injustices committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza.

Notably, the scope of the Islamic Resistance’s attacks extends beyond American forces, as it has also targeted Zionist interests. The resistance’s actions have escalated in response to the continued aggression against the Gaza Strip, lasting over three months. It has claimed responsibility for multiple attacks on strategic targets in southern occupied Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan.

In a recent announcement, the Islamic Resistance stated that it targeted a vital military objective in Umm Al-Rashrash (Eilat) in the occupied Palestinian territories, using appropriate weaponry.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq recently struck a significant target in occupied Haifa, deploying the Al-Arqab missile—a developed long-range cruise missile.
