WASHINGTON: The US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken on Wednesday said that the United States strongly condemned the January 30 bombing at a mosque in Peshawar’s Police Lines.
“We extend our heartiest condolences to the families of the martyrs who lost their lives as a result of this brutal act of terrorism,” Blinken said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Blinken said that it only compounds the tragedy that so many victims were security personnel who had dedicated their careers to serving and protecting their fellow citizens.
US support Pakistani govt’s efforts to combat terrorism
The Secretary of State said that the United States stands with Pakistan in condemning all forms of terrorism and violence against civilians. “We support the efforts of the Pakistani government to combat all forms of terrorism and manifestations,” Blinken concluded.
