ISLAMABAD: United States ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome holds deliberations with Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
According to a statement here, Special Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Finance, and other Finance Division officials participated in the meeting.
Ishaq Dar spoke about the long-term economic and trade ties with US while informing the American envoy about the projects being undertaken by the present government regarding flood rehabilitation and reconstruction.
In response, Donald Blome reaffirmed America’s commitment to Pakistan in the daunting post-floods reconstruction efforts.
The Pakistani finance minister discussed ways in which bilateral economic ties can be deepened further.

UK Ambassador, UNDP Consultant meet Ishaq Dar
Britain’s High Commissioner Dr. Christian Turner along with consultant Sir Michael Barber of the UNDP also held meetings with Ishaq Dar.
Speaking to them, the Finance Minister talked about the country’s economic prospects while mentioning that the country was successfully meeting its obligations made to non-local financers and that some time ago the country had repaid a bond of $1 billion.
Sri Lankan State Minister for Finance calls on Ishaq Dar
Sri Lanka’s State Minister for Finance Shehan Semasinghe along with treasury official Priyantha Rathnayaka met Ishaq Dar.
Dar apprised the Sri Lankan officials of Pakistan’s complete overall economic picture while also talking about the negative effects of the floods and the post-flood rehabilitation programs.
The Sri Lankan officials spoke that the dismal state Sri Lanka’s economy. Shehan Semasinghe praised Pakistan’s digital cash transfer system the BISP social safety net.
