KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee weakened against the US dollar and further depreciated 6 paisas in the inter-bank market on Monday, the first day of the week’s business.

According to forex dealers, the rupee fell by 6 paisas against the US Currency, which currently trades at Rs. 223.67.
Earlier, Pakistan repaid $1 billion against a matured international Sukuk, dispelling the perception that it had missed the payment deadline and could default.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia extended the duration of a $3 billion deposit it made to that country’s foreign reserves.
