ISLAMABAD: The visiting US Congress delegation has termed their visit to Pakistan as highly successful and significant for the future of bilateral ties.
Congressman Jack Bergman, speaking about the visit, said the importance of Pakistan-US relations is undeniable. He went on to say the two countries are working in different sectors and promoting partnership. Mineral is a key sector in this partnership.
“We must build Pakistan-US relations on strong foundations,” Thomas Souzzi said. He added that both countries will work together for economic security and enhance economic activities.

Congressman Jonathan Jackson praised Pakistan for exemplifying faith, unity, and discipline during his visit.
He highlighted a golden opportunity to deepen ties between the US and Pakistan, based on shared history and mutual trust.
Expressing optimism, he affirmed his strong belief in Pakistan’s bright and promising future.
A US congressional delegation, led by US House of Representatives Congressman Bergman, has met several dignitaries in Pakistan and held discussions on a range of matters of mutual interest.
The delegation on Monday visited the Kartarpur Corridor in the Punjab province to join the Sikh community in celebrating the Baisakhi festival.
Yesterday, the US Congressmen called on Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.
Discussions during the meeting encompassed a range of issues of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on regional security and defence cooperation, the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release.
Earlier in the day, the delegation met with Interior Minister Naqvi and held a detailed discussion on bilateral relations, including cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and investment, as well as security, counterterrorism, and border security.
The delegation arrived on Saturday on a weeklong visit to Pakistan, the first ever high-level US congressional delegation visit to the country since US President Trump took office on January 20 this year.
