NABLUS: US Special Representative for Palestinian Affairs Hady Amr has condemned indiscriminate violence by settlers in West Bank town, Nablus. The US officials called for prosecutions of those involved in violence in Nablus. Hady Amr also visited the town where rampaging Israelis torched dozens of cars and homes. He expressed his deep condolences to the relatives of Palestinian killed in the attacks, Palestine News and Info Agency said.

US Special Representative for Palestinian Affairs visits Nablus
The Special envoy condemned the unacceptable large-scale and indiscriminate violence by settlers in the West Bank. He added that legation action should be taken against those responsible for these heinous attacks, saying that attackers should be made accountable.
The US Special Representative also said that compensation should be provided to the victims of the attack.

Earlier, US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said that Washington was extremely concerned by the current wave of violence in the West bank. The spokesperson said that Washington would continue to work with Palestinians, Israelis and regional partners towards restoring calm in the region.

Fatah Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Aloul also visited the affected town Hawara along with the US Special Envoy for Palestinian Affairs and said that Palestinians should be protected and the aggression of settlers should be ended.
Hawara Mayor Mueen Dmeidi called the attacks unprecedented, saying that he believed the attack was carried out under the shield of the Israeli army.
