ISLAMABAD: The United States remained the top export destination of Pakistani products during the 10 months of the current financial year (2022-23), followed by China and the United Kingdom.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, total exports to the US in the period of July-April (2022-23) were recorded at 4990.562 million dollars as opposed to the exports of 5618.857 million dollars during the same period last year, showing a decline of 11.18%.
This was followed by China, wherein Pakistan exported items worth 1700.955 million dollars in contrast to 2342.887 million dollars last year, showing a decrease of 27.39%.
The UK was the 3rd top export destination. Pakistan exported items worth 1643.864 million dollars during the period under review against the exports of 1851.812 million dollars last year, reflecting a decline of 11.22%, SBP data showed.
Pakistan’s exports to other countries
Among other nations, Pakistani exports to Europe’s largest economy Germany stood at 1366.068 million dollars against 1432.029 million dollars last year, showing a big decrease of 4.60%, while the exports to UAE were reported at 1206.639 million dollars opposed to 1550.022 million dollars last year.
From July to April 2022-23, the exports to Holland were reported at 1211.647 million dollars against 1217.163 million dollars, whereas the exports to Afghanistan were recorded at 435.682 million dollars against 436.423 million dollars.
Pakistan’s exports to Italy were reported at 951.447 million dollars against the exports of 857.219 million dollars, while the exports to Spain were reported at 1154.633 million dollars against 940.808 million dollars last year.
Whereas Pakistan’s exports to Bangladesh were reported at 644.104 million dollars against 720.509 million dollars.
Similarly, Pakistan’s exports to France during the period under review were reported at 487.194 million dollars against 430.134 million dollars, while the exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were recorded at 404.767 million dollars against 345.720 million dollars.
