ISLAMABAD: United States Ambassador Donald Blome on Tuesday called on Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb to discuss further US cooperation and support for Pakistan’s efforts to meet its reform targets, including improvement of tax administration and investment climate.
Ambassador Donald Blome underlined the US governmental support for Islamabad’s work with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to complete its current Stand-By Arrangement (SBA).
He reiterated his commitment to expanding further US-Pakistan economic cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Pakistan-US Relations
Pakistan and the United States have long-standing relations spanning over seven decades. Both countries have a history of political, economic, and security ties and people-to-people contacts.
