ISLAMABAD: United States Ambassador Donald Blome called on the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, at Parliament House on Saturday, where both dignitaries discussed strengthening mutual relations and parliamentary cooperation for bilateral gains.
During the meeting, Speaker NA Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reiterated the longstanding and broad-based relationship between Pakistan and the United States adding that Pakistan’s relations with the US establish a significant element and important component of its foreign policy.
Highlighting the significance of parliamentary cooperation, the speaker national assembly stressed the need for regular visits and interactions between members of parliaments from both friendly sides to further boost and strengthen the relationship.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Donald Blome congratulated Ayaz Sadiq on his re-election as Speaker of the National Assembly. The Ambassador highlighted the significance of collective efforts to encourage and promote regional and international peace and prosperity.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed gratitude thanked the Ambassador for his kind remarks and affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continued collaboration with the US in all areas of mutual interest.
