KARACHI: The United States (US) Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome, here on Friday visited Aga Khan University (AKU)’s Stadium Road campus. The United State Consul General in Karachi accompanied the ambassador during the visit.
In his conversations with the Aga Khan University leaders, the United State Ambassador applauded the collaboration between the university, United state development agencies, and United State universities, focusing on training, research, and initiatives related to education, health, and environment, said a communiqué.
Several AKU Graduates were Trained in US
“Many Aga Khan University graduates were trained in the United States and returned to give back to their respective countries. I am proud to be amongst them,” said a graduate of Aga Khan University’s MBBS Class of 1998, Dr Adil Haider, now Dean of the Medical College at AKU in Pakistan.
During his visit, the United State Ambassador took a keen interest in the services of Aga Khan University Hospital and Aga University’s Centre for Innovation in Medical Education. – APP
