BAGHDAD: The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has said that it had targeted a United States base in Al-Shaddadi in south of Syria, with rocket fire.
The group in a statement said that while responding to the American crimes in Gaza, the Islamic Resistance Mujahideen in Iraq targeted the American occupation base in Al-Shaddadi, south of the Syrian city of Hasakah, with a large rocket fire.
The further said that the operation damaged the United States base.
The Islamic resistance in Iraq has carried out a series of attacks on Iraqi and Syrian military bases with United States troops, since war between Israel and Hamas started on October 7.
According to Gaza’s health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra, since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas, 18,205 people have been killed, mostly women and children, amid a deepening humanitarian crisis.

There are around 2,500 US forces in Iraq and around 900 in Syria as part of attempt to prevent a resurgence of militant in the country.
The US has counted about 84 assaults since October 7 against its troops in Syria and Iraq. Earlier, the Pentagon said that the assaults against US forces have left around 60 US personnel injured.
On Friday barrages of rockets were launched at the US embassy in Baghdad’s Green Zone. The US leads a global coalition battling militants in Iraq and Syria, and its troops have come under repeated assault in recent few weeks.
