ISLAMABAD: Flooding caused by recent heavy rains in Punjab’s Kasur district has severely disrupted daily life. Amid the chaos, one wedding turned into an extraordinary and memorable event when a groom, faced with impassable roads, arrived at the bride’s home by boat.

The incident happened in the village of Ganja Kalan, near Kasur, Punjab, where resident Majid Dogar’s wedding ceremony was scheduled to take place in Hujra Shah Muqeem.

On the wedding day, as the groom set out with his wedding procession, torrential rains had already inundated the area, completely cutting off road access due to floodwaters.

Refusing to give up, the groom contacted Rescue 1122 for assistance, according to local media reports.

After assessing the situation, rescue officials provided a boat that transported the groom and a few members of the wedding party to the bride’s home.

The boat-borne procession turned the wedding into an unforgettable moment.

Videos of the event are rapidly circulating on social media, where users are praising the groom’s determination and the humanitarian spirit of the rescue service.
