BAMAKO: United Nation peacekeeping force move its bases in Mali due to worsening security amid threats.
The UN force brought one of its base located in the north of the country forward amid safety concerns.
The reason from moving the base was because of three soldiers were attacked by the militants and they were injured on Sunday.
The peacekeepers moved from the area as Mali army lost six of its troops on Saturday with 24 casualties from the militant group.
Leaving Ber the area where the UN peacekeepers were stationed was also because of the ethnicity in the area where Tuareg clan also reported to be attacked by Mali army and Russian mercenary force Wagner.
The UN peacekeepers updated their withdrawal from the Ber on social media site X asking all concerned not to take any action as they make their withdrawal.
However its not known how many troops have moved from the area.
The information reaching here states that the troops in order to move out were attacked twice and wounded personnel were taken to Timbuktu.
The statement from UN on social media site X stated that attacking the peacekeepers comes under war crimes under international law.
The Mali army after the withdrawal of UN peacekeepers have taken over the Ber area facing a number of attacks from the militants.
