RIYADH: Saudi Minister for Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Majed has recently received UN Resident Coordinator in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Dr. Rita Columbia and her accompanying delegation at the ministry’s head office in Riyadh.
UN official lauds Saudi Vision 2030 targets & goals
They discussed aspects of collaboration and upcoming partnerships, and the UN’s support for women and women empowerment in society, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The Minister also briefed Dr. Rita Columbia on the Saudi Vision 2030 goals of empowering and developing social work.

The UN official lauded the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s efforts toward devising a national child protection strategy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that the strategy will influence practices in other nations, and will contribute to the KSA’s participation in UNICEF platforms.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development is also boosting global cooperation and promoting strategic alliance, as well as exchanging knowledge to benefit from the experiences of other nations in the field.
