KUWAIT: The UN High Commissioner for Refugees and Kuwait’s International Islamic Charity Organization have inked an agreement to provide humanitarian supplies for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

IICO’s directive manager Bader Al-Sumait said that the humanitarian body seeks to ease the suffering of the Rohingya refugees via sustainable development solutions in the sectors of livestock, agricultural, and fish production, at a cost of around $500,000.” The UN and International Islamic Charity Organization will provide assistance to Rohingya refugees.
Al-Sumait said that about one million displaced people depend entirely on humanitarian assistance to get protection, water, food, shelter, and health services.

The supportive steps and humanitarian assistance include sustainable development plans, in addition to shelter and food.
Al-Sumait said that sustainable efforts might change, in a good way, the conditions of these communities, mainly in economic empowerment, education, and building abilities.”
He further said that the IICO has partnership and cooperation agreements with 13 different agencies, and organizations.
