UN Designates June 10 as International Day of Dialogue Among Civilizations

UNITED NATIONS: The recent approval of the resolution titled “International Day of Dialogue Among Civilizations” by the UN General Assembly marks a significant step towards fostering global understanding and cooperation. Spearheaded by Uzbekistan and China, the resolution garnered unanimous support, highlighting the international community’s commitment to promoting dialogue and mutual respect among diverse civilizations.

June 10 has been designated as the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and celebrating the rich diversity of cultures and civilizations worldwide. Uzbekistan’s election to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) further underscores its growing influence and commitment to global dialogue and cooperation. With 185 votes in favor, Uzbekistan’s historic election to ECOSOC paves the way for enhanced participation in shaping global agendas and promoting sustainable development.
