UNITED NATIONS: The United Nations (UN) on Wednesday denounced strikes on Gaza’s largest refugee camp that martyred scores of innocent Palestinian civilians.

The UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths said that this is just the latest atrocity to befall the people of Gaza, where the war has entered an even more terrifying phase, with increasingly dreadful humanitarian consequences, AFP news agency reported.

Volatile Situation in Gaza Amid Israel’s Brutalities

He said that the world seems unable or unwilling, to act. But this situation in Gaza cannot go on. We need a step change. A strike on the Jabalia refugee camp martyred at least 47 people on Tuesday.

Hamas said seven hostages, including three foreign passport holders, had died in the Israeli attack, a claim impossible to verify. Palestinian rescuers reported fresh attacks on the camp on Wednesday. Griffiths released his statement after a two-day trip to the region.
