Ukraine War: Officials Say Strike Kills 2 in Kramatorsk

KYIV: Ukrainian officials said on Wednesday that at least two persons were killed when a Russian rocket struck a residential building in the eastern city of Kramatorsk.

Regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said via social media that just two hours ago the Russian strike hit a residential building in the center part of the city. The governor confirmed that two people were killed and seven injured in the rocket attack.

He expressed fear that more people could be discovered from the rubble. He said that the rescue teams and law enforcement officials are working at the stop to rescue the affected people.

Kramatorsk is in the eastern area of Donetsk. Moscow now seeks to capture the entire area following declaring it part of Russia in 2022.
