KIEV: Ukrainian authorities confirmed on Monday that Russian military forces launched a night-time assault using drones and a cruise missile, which struck various regions within the country.

The Ukrainian Air Force successfully intercepted and neutralized 14 attack drones, consisting of 13 Iranian-manufactured Shahed drones, and the cruise missile itself.

Oleh Kiper, the governor of the Odesa region, reported that fragments from one of the destroyed drones descended onto the southern area, causing damage to a port warehouse.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported as a result of these attacks.

It is worth noting that Odesa has been a recurring target for Russian aerial attacks, affecting ports along the Black Sea and the Danube River.

Ukraine’s Interior Ministry communicated via Telegram that the most recent Russian strikes specifically targeted the southern, eastern, and central regions of the country.
