Ukraine Deputy Head of Presidential Office Announces Resignation

ISLAMABAD/KYIV: Ukraine’s Presidential Office’s Deputy Head Kyrylo Tymoshenko said on Tuesday that he has asked President Volodymyr Zelensky to relieve him of his responsibilities.According to the Arab News, “I thank President Volodymyr Zelensky, the trust and the opportunity to do great deeds every minute and every day,” Tymoshenko wrote in the Telegram message. Kyrylo has given no reason for his resignation.

The Ukrainian media said that Tymoshenko might be among the personnel Zelensky wanted to change.

Deputy’s head resigns


An announcement regarding Kyrylo Tymoshenko’s resignation was published on the official website.


Zelensky said that personnel changes would be announced this week in the Ukraine government, the regions, and the forces after allegations of corruption nearly a year into the Russia-Ukraine war


Tymoshenko had been the deputy head of the presidential office in 2019, overseeing regions and regional policy. He worked with Volodymyr during his election campaign, overseeing media. Since the start Russian-Ukraine of in February 2022, according to Ukrainian local media, Tymoshenko had been embroiled in many scandals related to his personal use of luxury cars. Tymoshenko denied all the wrong allegations.
