ISLAMABAD: British High Commissioner, Jane Marriott CMG OBE, recently visited the Atlas Solar Farm in South Punjab, highlighting the impactful partnership between the UK and Pakistan in advancing the global shift towards sustainable energy.
The solar farm, backed by the UK government’s development finance institution, British International Investment, is a significant contributor, providing 100 MW of clean and affordable power to over 100,000 households. This venture plays a crucial role in averting 106,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
