ISLAMABAD: Following a revelation, Britain’s Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has acknowledged that the British Army needs investment due to the fact that in relation to its peers it has fallen behind.
Recently a UK TV channel reported that an American general, in a private conversation, had informed Wallace Britain’s armed forces were no longer considered as a top-notch fighting force.
According to sources belonging to the defense sector, the US general said the reversal of this decline was all the more necessary in the wake of the Ukrainian conflict.
Yearly increase in budget for British army
They called for a yearly increase of at least £3 billion in the defense budget along with ending the plan to further decrease the size of the British army.
While agreeing on the urgent need to pour in finances, Wallace said that already the government was investing as much as £34 billion in lieu of the army’s equipment plan till 2033.

Wallace maintained that as there is no wand such that buttons can be pressed and the equipment is made.
He added that at present, globally only the United States and China had the capability to sustain production lines that are almost constant.
