ISLAMABAD: The United Kingdom (UK) has lauded Pakistan for its cooperation and support in facilitating relocation of Afghans sponsored by the government of the UK, Radio Pakistan reported on Friday.
The appreciation came during phone call by UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani.
Jilani reiterated Islamabad’s continued promise to facilitate relocation of Afghans destined for the United Kingdom.

Underscoring the strong legacy of bilateral cooperation between the two nations, he expressed the desire to jointly craft a more robust and long-term vision for this significant bilateral relationship.

The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation and stressed the significance of high-level engagement and talks to further strengthen Pakistan-UK ties.
Radio Pakistan reported that current situation in Gaza, its impact on regional security and the ensuing humanitarian crises were also discussed during the telephonic conversation.
