DUBAI: UAE and Ukraine agreed on Sunday to further enhance parliamentary cooperation and people-to-people contact. The two sides agreed during a meeting between their parliamentary delegations.
UAE-Ukraine ties
The UAE delegation was led by Speaker of UAE’s Federal National Council Saqr Ghobash while the delegation of Ukraine was led by Oleksandr Kornienko first deputy chairman of Ukraine’s parliament. During the meeting, they discussed means to further strengthen parliamentary cooperation by exchanging visits and enhancing coordination and consultation on matters of mutual interest.
Ukraine’s envoy to UAE also said that the two sides discussed bilateral ties and matters of mutual interest during the meeting. In a statement via his Twitter account, the envoy said that they thanked UAE for their humanitarian support to his country.
