  • No external or internal consultancy firms are authorised to handle Golden Visa applications
  • Legal action planned against entities spreading misinformation

DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially denied reports claiming the Gulf country is offering a lifetime Golden Visa to individuals from specific nationalities, calling such claims baseless and misleading.

UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) in a statement called such claims “misleading and baseless”.

The ICP clarified that the criteria, terms, and procedures governing the Golden Visa are established by law and ministerial directives.

All official information is available through the authority’s website and mobile application.

The clarification comes after certain foreign consultancy offices falsely claimed that the lifetime Golden Visa could be obtained for all categories from outside the UAE under simplified procedures.

It confirmed that no external or internal consultancy firms are authorised to handle or submit applications on behalf of individuals.

The authority has reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and secure application system available only through official digital platforms such as the ICP website and mobile app.

It also warned the public against falling for false promises and cautioned individuals not to share personal documents or pay any fees to unverified third parties.

Legal action, the ICP warned, will be taken against entities spreading misinformation in an attempt to exploit people’s aspirations for a better life in the UAE.

The ICP urged all potential applicants to verify any Golden Visa information directly through official UAE channels or the 24/7 call centre at 600522222.

The Golden Visa is a long-term residency permit that enables foreign nationals to live, work, and study in the UAE while enjoying a range of exclusive benefits.

It is primarily awarded to investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, exceptional students and graduates, humanitarian workers, and frontline professionals.

Eligibility is determined based on factors such as investment, professional accomplishments, academic excellence, and contributions to vital sectors including trade, science, culture, and finance.
