ABU DHABI: UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan has held a meeting with Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska in Abu Dhabi, Arab media reported on Tuesday.

During the interaction, the UAE President was briefed on the effects of the Ukrainian crisis, particularly on children. He has contributed $4 million to Zelenzka’s charitable foundation, which will support and assist the development of 10 buildings set to house about 100 children.

The UAE reaffirmed the UAE’s promise to the people of Ukraine via humanitarian help, and highlighted the significance of international and regional efforts to restore stability, security, and peace in the country.

Olena Zelenska lauded Sheikh Mohammed for his assistance and humanitarian stance during the crisis, as well as the UAE’s help to Ukrainian refugees in neighboring states. During her trip to the UAE, she will attend Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi. She will also hold meeting with members of the emirates’ Ukrainian community during her stay in UAE.
