ISLAMABAD: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will visit Islamabad on Monday (January 30) at Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation.
The UAE president Sheikh Mohamed — who was recently in Pakistan on a private visit — will be accompanied by his family members when he arrives in Islamabad, local media reported.
“The UAE president, Sheikh Mohamed, will be given the protocol of state guest on his arrival to Islamabad. At Noor Khan Airbase, he will be given a gun salute and a Guard of Honour at the Prime Minister’s House,” a local media reporter.
Local holiday in Islamabad on occasion of UAE president’s visit
Meanwhile, the federal capital’s administration Saturday announced a local holiday on January 30 (Monday), a notification from District Magistrate Irfan Nawaz Memon said.
According to the notification, all private and public educational institutions will remain closed, while the offices will also observe the holiday on Monday.
However, the notification does not apply to essential services — Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation, Capital Development Authority, ICT Administration, police, Islamabad Electric Supply Company, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, and hospitals.
