ISLAMABAD: The total trade between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached Dhs19.7 billion in 2021, with a positive growth rate of 23% compared to 2020, and the trade volume growth rate between the two countries reached 30 percent during the last five years.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACCI, Abdullah Al Muwaiji, has affirmed the Chamber’s interest in strengthening its external relations and building strong collaborations to achieve sustainable future growth for the economy of the Emirate of Ajman.
This came during his meeting with Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, at the ACCI headquarters on Saturday. They discussed joint economic cooperation and ways to consolidate bilateral relations. They also deliberated over the available investment opportunities in the education, industry, trade, and tourism sectors.

At the beginning of the session, Abdullah Al Muwaiji welcomed the participants, praised the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and UAE at the people and leadership levels, and stressed the significance of this meeting to discuss opportunities for partnership and cooperation between Pakistan and Ajman in several sectors, explaining that the ACCI is interested in consolidating its partnerships and external relations to achieve sustainable future growth for the economy of Ajman.
Faisal Niaz Tirmizi appreciated the development renaissance in Ajman and stressed the need for visits and exchange delegations to learn about the available opportunities in various fields, explaining that the economic potential and opportunities available in both Ajman and Pakistan would open new avenues to increase the volume of trade and joint cooperation, Emirates news agency reported.
