DUBAI: The governments of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malta have concluded a series of dialogue to further promote bilateral cooperation and the exchange of knowledge in diverse fields.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the meetings were initiated in February as part of the World Government Summit 2023. During an official trip to Malta, the Emirati top level delegation met with Keith Azobardi Tanti, Maltese minister for youth affairs, Ian Burg, foreign minister; Tony Sultana and other top government officials.

Bilateral cooperation between the two nations focuses on fields connected to innovation and research in government operations, such as health, digital technology, wellbeing, smart manufacturing, aviation and space.
Ian Burg added that the dialogue will help the two nations maintain trade and diplomatic relations. Keith Azobardi Tanti said that the trip provided a base for a stronger bilateral relationship. “This is a great measure in joining hands and seeking collaboration,” he added. “Together we can help each other in our strong areas to further expand our capacities and potential.”
According to Arab News, bilateral cooperation with Malta is as per UAE’s Government Experience Exchange Programme, initiated in 2018 to develop global knowledge-based partnerships.
