ABU DHABI: The UAE’s Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) has announced a program to assist government school students from grades 3 to 12 who struggled academically or didn’t pass their first-term exams.

The Support and Empowerment Program for Students will give those students a second chance to succeed in the first term, according to the Director General of the ESE Mohammed Al Qasim.

Students with less than 50% of the required marks can participate in the first and second phases of the program, which runs from 23 January to 3 February, while students with less than 60% of the required marks can participate in the third phase.

UAE assess students’ abilities

Al Qasim added that the first-term results enable them to assess students‘ abilities and provide them with the necessary support to improve their academic achievement.

Results for grades 9 to 12 in both public and private schools were released by the ESE on January 9; results for grades 5 to 12 and 1-4 were announced on January 10 and 11, respectively.
