ISLAMABAD: With a mobility score of 180, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has maintained its position at the top of the list of the countries having the most powerful passport.
According to global citizenship financial advisory firm Arton Capital latest passport index for the first trimester of 2024, UAE passport is the top performing travel documents.
Citizens holding a UAE passport can travel to 130 countries without a prior visa and 50 countries with a visa on arrival.
According to Gulf Today, Arton Capital noted that the UAE’s positive diplomacy has contributed significantly to strengthening its passport.
The second position on the list is held by several countries including Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands with a mobility score or ability to enter 178 countries.
Meanwhile, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland passports have the ability to enter 177 countries.
Pakistan, on the other hand, has secured its place among the countries that are at the bottom of this list. With a mobility score of 47, Pakistan’s passport is the fifth least efficient travel document in the world. People with a Pakistani passport can have visa-free entry to only 11 countries in the world.
