ABU DHABI : United Arab Emirates came out strong denying the allegations that it was supplying arms to warring factions in Sudan.
The accusation appearing in section of press resulted in Strategic Communications Director Afra Al-Hameli from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarify the position.
The official made it clear that United Arab Emirates has never supplied arms and ammunitions to any of the warring factions in Sudan since the beginning of the conflict in April 2023.
He further stated that UAE always asked for a ceasefire and diplomatic solution to the conflict involving all parties initiating dialogue and has always supported political dialogue for achieving national consensus.
“UAE hopes ceasefire is achieved in Sudan and peace prevails, added the official.
