RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed two terrorists in two operations in North and South Waziristan on Sunday.
In one operation in the general area Razmak, North Waziristan, the forces located the terrorists’ hideout. As the team reached the location, the militants opened fire. However, they were successfully subdued. One terrorist was killed, while weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the hideout, ISPR said in a statement.
In another fierce encounter between the security forces and terrorists in the general area Karama, South Waziristan District, security forces killed another terrorist, while the Naik Fazal Janan, 32, embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly, the statement added.
Sanitization of Area after killing of two terrorists
Sanitization of the area is underway to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace and curse of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve”, the statement said.
