CHINIOT, Pakistan: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed two suspects including a wanted terrorist in an intelligence-based operation in Chiniot.
According to CTD officials, the terrorists resisted during the operation, leading to an exchange of fire, efforts are underway to identify the terrorist who was killed along with Ghazanfar Nadeem, the price of the terrorist’s head was set at 2.5 million rupees.
Ghazanfar Nadeem had evaded authorities since 2011, and multiple agencies had been relentlessly pursuing him. The operation also led to the discovery of ammunition and modern weapons at the terrorists’ hideout.
According to CTD, Ghazanfar Nadeem, also known as Khalid Habib, went by various aliases and was implicated in eleven significant operations, including the ISI in Faisalabad, a suicide attack in Dera Ismail Khan and also a sectarian target killing.
