QUETTA: Two reverse osmosis (RO) plants are being installed for thousands of people of Sarbandan and Chabarkani villages in Gwadar to address water scarcity, according to a handout issued here on Friday.
It was stated that the RO plant’s foundation stone laying ceremony was held at Union Council Sarbandan in the presence of UC Chairman Haq Dutehreek Naseeb Noshirwani, chairman and councillors, local dignitaries, and military officials.
Uplift projects in Gawadar
It may be noted that, in response to the needs of the local community in Gwadar district, the Army Chief launched many uplift projects worth Rs 500 million during his recent visit to Gwadar. The Gwadar development projects announced would be implemented with the financial assistance of the Pakistan Army.
It is worth noting that water scarcity is the most critical problem in Balochistan’s coastal zone, with residents from Jiwani to Hangul National Park and Gardani experiencing extreme water shortages.
