ISLAMABAD: A powerful blast ripped through Pir Bala Warsak Road in the early hours of Friday morning, leaving at least two police personnel critically wounded. Local media cited Rescue officials as saying that a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) detonated on Pir Bala Warsak Road in Peshawar, targeting a police vehicle.
According to rescue sources the explosion resulted in injuries of least two police officials, who were rushed to a nearby medical facility for medical treatment. In the aftermath of blast on Pir Bala Warsak Road, rescue teams promptly arrived on the spot to provide medical help and secure the area, rescue sources said.
Concurrently, police officials started a comprehensive probe into the incident, collecting evidence and eyewitness accounts to determine the circumstances surrounding the explosion, police further said.
