ISLAMABAD: Bollywood actor and cricket franchise owner Shah Rukh Khan has added two Pakistani cricketers to his Caribbean Premier League (CPL) team, Trinbago Knight Riders, for the 2025 season.
Ahead of the 2025 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season, his Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) made waves by drafting two promising Pakistani players — seasoned fast bowler Mohammad Amir and emerging off-spinner Usman Tariq.
Mohammad Amir, known for his lethal left-arm swing and expertise in death overs, brings valuable experience to TKR’s bowling lineup.
With four previous CPL seasons under his belt, Amir has claimed 51 wickets in 39 matches at an impressive average of 18.09, making him a key asset and mentor for younger teammates.
Joining Amir is Usman Tariq, a rising star who dazzled in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) by snaring 10 wickets in just 5 games for Quetta Gladiators.
The CPL will mark Tariq’s debut with TKR, and fans are eager to see how his off-spin skills adapt to the Caribbean’s vibrant cricketing atmosphere.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Knight Riders franchise, already a powerhouse in IPL, CPL, Major League Cricket (USA), and Abu Dhabi’s International League T20, continues to blend cricket excellence with global appeal — and these Pakistani players are poised to play a starring role in the next chapter of the Knight Riders’ journey.
