Two Martyred Pakistani Soldiers Laid to Rest with Full Military Honours

RAWALPINDI: Two brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army, Lance Naik Mairaj Uddin Shaheed (23 years, resident of D.I. Khan) and Naik Zaheer Abbas (38 years, resident of district Khushab), were laid to rest with full military honours after they embraced martyrdom in North Waziristan while valiantly fighting terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

The funeral prayers for Lance Naik Mairaj Uddin Shaheed and Naik Zaheer Abbas were held in their respective hometowns, with a large number of people, senior serving and retired officers/soldiers, and relatives in attendance, ISPR stated.

Pakistan Army Committed to Defend Motherland

The sacrifices made by these soldiers in the line of duty were acknowledged and honored by the military and the nation. The Pakistan Army remains steadfast in its commitment to defend the motherland against all internal and external threats. Any hostile efforts to disrupt the hard-earned peace will be met with the full might of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, ISPR maintained.

The nation mourns the loss of these brave soldiers and extends heartfelt condolences to their families and loved ones. Their courage and dedication in the face of adversity will be remembered with utmost respect and gratitude.
