Two Killed in Remote-Controlled Blast in KP’s Bajaur District

BAJAUR: A remote-controlled blast targeted a van in the Mahmond area of Bajaur tribal district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday, resulting in the death of two individuals, according to police officials.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sattar Khan confirmed that the explosion caused the immediate death of the van’s driver and critically injured a contractor who was traveling with him.

The injured contractor was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Blast Damages Vehicle

DSP Sattar Khan stated that the van was transporting sand to a security check post in Bajaur at the time of the incident. The remote-controlled blast caused significant damage to the vehicle, causing the tragic loss of lives.

Law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the motives and perpetrators behind the attack. Security has been heightened in the area to maintain law and order.
