ISLAMABAD: In the Pakistani capital Islamabad, the Pakistan-China Friendship Center will host the Behbud Art and Craft Bazar from 7 January to 8 January. The two-day event’s aim is to support less privileged women and promote handmade products.
The event will feature a variety of products, traditional food, live music games for kids, and fun for the whole family. Additionally, it will provide an opportunity to meet artisans from all over Pakistan.
Art, Craft Bazar supports less privileged women
In 1967, Behbud Art and Craft Bazar were established by the Behbud Association of Pakistan.
The organizers stated that the aim is to make less privileged women productive members of society and self-reliant. In order to accomplish this, the individuals are trained in skills and provided opportunities to generate income. In addition, they are provided healthcare subsidies and educational services.
