Two Daesh Terrorists Held in Karachi

KARACHI: Rangers have arrested two wanted terrorists in Karachi allegedly involved in many heinous activities.

The banned outfit’s operatives were caught in the Gadap area, Karachi, on Friday in a joint operation carried out by rangers and Special Investigation Unit (SIU).

The two terrorists were identified as Farmaullah alias Ehtesham and Dawood alias Ameer Sahib and they are the members of Daesh, a local media outlet reported.

It is reported that they were involved in numerous terrorist activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Bajaur.

A spokesman for the Rangers said that hand grenades, arms and ammunition were also recovered from the arrested accused.

Terrorists’ leader

The spokesman further said that the leader of these terrorists, Sikandar, was arrested in Karachi in early 2020, while Farmanullah managed to escape to Afghanistan. He returned to Karachi some time ago and went into hiding.

He added that accomplices of the arrested terrorist were killed in clashes with security forces in Bajaur.

Meanwhile, the arrested terrorists were booked in several cases of terrorism at PIB Colony police station.

The spokesperson claimed that accused Dawood alias Ameer Sahib belonged to Tehreek-e-Taliban Bajur who recently left it to join Daesh.

He said that the accused reorganized the group with his partner Farmanullah alias Ehtesham.

Moreover, police is conducting raids to arrest the remaining accomplices of the detaimed accused.
