Two Children Die in Taxila Gas Leakage Explosion

ISLAMABAD/TAXILA: Two children died, and three others were wounded when a gas leakage explosion rocked a house in Taxila, Pakistan, on Thursday morning.

The wounded included another child, their mother, and the elder of the family. The blast took place when a person in the family tried to ignite fire early in the morning. Rescue 1122 fire tenders and emergency ambulances took part in the relief operation and shifted the wounded to the hospital for treatment. The dead children were identified as 4-year-old Saudais and 5-year-old Awais.

Gas leakage incidents

Four children of the family were killed in an explosion triggered by a gas leakage in Quetta’s Kharotabad place on Wednesday. Two women also sustained wounds in the incident that took place in Badezai Town of Kharotabad in Balochistan. 

Gas leakage explosion in Bolan Town of Quetta’s Sariab place on Tuesday night, Sub-Inspector Shabbir, Hussain Gujjar of Police Station Shalkot, died in a gas leakage explosion.   In a similar kind of incident, four people suffocated to death in the Jan Mohammad Road area of Quetta. 

The incident occurred due to gas leakage that filled the room in which the four were sleeping, causing their death. The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital.
