ISTANBUL: Defense Minister of Türkiye’s Yasar Guler on Friday observed the on-site preparations for the EFES-2024 Exercise’s Distinguished Observer Day, which will be held on May 29-30 in Izmir.
Chief of the General Staff General Metin Gurak, Navy Commander Admiral Ercument Tatlioglu, Army Commander General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu, and Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadioglu, were also present on the occasion, said a ministry statement.
The Defense Industry Products Exhibition will display products from 47 defense companies.
The exercise will help participant nations to witness firsthand abilities of the Turkish defense industry, which produces and develops a wide range of systems, from warships to ammunition, from drones to helicopters and from electronic warfare systems to radar systems, all serving the security forces of the country.
More than 1,500 foreign personnel from 50 countries, along with the Turkish Armed Forces will attend the exercise. Overall, 11,000 personnel would be taking part in the exercise.
